The Historic House Trust’s partner sites have been the locations for a wide variety of events and shoots, from weddings to blockbuster films.

With their distinctive architecture, lush gardens, elegant interiors, and water views, our collection of partner sites offers unmatched backdrops for any event or filming purpose. Most sites offer event rental and filming opportunities and can answer inquiries if you contact them directly. Filming Protocol at HHT’s Partner Sites

Productions both large and small have enjoyed the scenery provided by these magnificent locations. Whether you plan to shoot a music video, commercial, major motion picture, or television show, HHT’s partner sites have plenty to offer!

You can inquire initially with your preferred location, but because these sites are located on public parkland, all official film shoot requests must be made via the NYC Parks Department permit application process. For detailed information on this process, please refer to the Guidelines for Film and Photography Shoots on the NYC Parks website.

Once the Film Shoot Request Form is reviewed by NYC Parks, HHT or the individual house site will work with you to schedule an onsite meeting to determine if the shoot can be executed without disrupting daily operations or damaging the historic structure. A donation to the site is typically offered by the production company to offset the coordination of film shoots.
