The Historic House Trust is run by a small team of people who are passionate about preservation, history, and storytelling. We pride ourselves on being a tight-knit crew of hard workers, but we always make time for a bit of fun in the office!
HHT Staff Positions
Thank you for your interest in joining our team! If we are currently hiring, you will find links below detailing our open positions. Positions with our Capital Team are hired through the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, and we encourage you to monitor postings on their Jobs at Parks website.
Full-time employees are eligible for generous insurance plans (health, vision, and dental), commuter benefits, and a retirement plan. We annually offer 15 days of vacation, 12 days of sick leave, and 12 holidays.
Interns provide vital support to our operations, and HHT is committed to ensuring a rewarding experience for all of our interns. If you are interested in an internship, contact us with a short paragraph explaining why you would like to intern with HHT, and please attach your resume.
We also often hire interns through the NYC Parks internship program, so please check for opportunities there as well!
Positions at Our Partner Sites
HHT’s member house museums handle all of their own hiring, internships, and volunteer programs. If you are interested in a position with one of our partner sites, please visit their individual websites. Please note that caretaker positions are infrequently available.
